“Hey I’m the customer” – Part 4

An espresso summary of front-line tips for supplying superior customer service.

It’s simple stuff, and so simple many don’t do it.

Want to maximise your contact with each customer? Want them to be impressed with your concern for them? First, remember that people have different needs, and when their needs are met, they’ll want you to continue helping them in the future

4. Here’s some of the needs of a customer:

  • To be valued by you.
  • To feel comfortable and non-pressured.
  • To have your individual attention.
  • For you not to judge their ability to buy whatever you’re selling.
  • For you to focus more on them than your work processes, rules or schedules.
  • For you not to ignore them in favour of someone who you may think will buy more.
  • Invite them back and let them know they’re always welcome here.

Customers are sensitive to this and aware, they can tell whether, or not you really care about them.
